Tools: Auto-correct Options

Auto-correct is a versatile tool for Word 2007 if the user is unsure of how the phrase goes, the spelling or wording. This really handy for people who do not have a strong foundation in the english language. By default, auto-correct is activated whenever you make a new document. If auto-correct is not enabled, click on the MS Office button and click on Word Options.

You are prompted with a dialog box. Make sure the 'Hide Spelling errors' is not checked. Go to the Proofing and click "Autocorrect Options"

Now, another dialog box pops out. This is where you can customize the options of autocorrect. You have an additional AutoCorrect for Math and as you type and also Autoformat and Smart Tags. Check or uncheck to your preference, any of the options there.
